The Wellingtone 4-Step PSO Improvement Process draws on research we sponsored at Leeds Metropolitan University.

The Assessment looks at the detailed scope or functionality of the PSO across 10 functional areas.

Differing from traditional maturity models, mostly based on the SEI's CMM, our assessment offers a detailed analysis tailored specifically for the PSO.

Step 1 - Assessment of Current Functionality
Provides a clear picture of current PSO capabilities, strengths and weaknesses. This step is provided for FREE and consists of an on-line questionnaire. On completion of the questionnaire you receive the Initial Assessment Report, including the capability histogram as shown above.

Step 2 - In-depth Assessment & Identification of Targets for Change
Enables you to understand not just where you are, but where you should or could be. This step is usually completed within a week and consists of structured interviews with your key staff. We present our findings and recommendations for change to you.

Step 3 - Implement Change
Implements the changes agreed as part of Step 2. Involve us as much or as little as you need. We can support you with experts, project staff and our range of focused, practical 1-day training courses.

Step 4 - Establish Continuous Improvement and Benchmarking
Establishes continuous improvement and provides an opportunity to benchmark against industry data.
