This course will give the participant a good understanding of the ‘whys and hows’ of the briefing process and project scheduling.
Focusing on the beginnings of the project lifecycle enables the day to be concerned with the theory of briefing and planning as well as presenting practical skills in both.
Content
- Review of the basic project lifecycle
- The briefing stage – why it is so important
- Work Breakdown Structures
- Network diagrams
- Critical Path Analysis
- Gantt charts
Prerequisites
None
Expected Outcomes
The outcome of the day will be a solid understanding of the techniques used to advance a project from its concept to a workable timing plan.
The course will give reasoning as well as process to the techniques covered. The aim of this is to enable users to gauge the levels of planning needed for each project themselves, rather than a set method for every project.
This will prepare the delegate with skills needed to carry out, value and support the early stages of projects.
