The Role - RP-126 [Urgent Requirements]

To successfully managing the delivery of high profile £2M+ software development projects and teams of 20+ members using a structured project management methodology i.e. PRINCE2. Taking full responsibility for the P&L/budget of the project.

The successful candidate(s) will have:

  • Managed at least one full end to end delivery of a software development project using structured methods to the value of £2million
  • First class Communication Skills
  • Good estimating skills in software development
  • Risk Identification and Management
  • Quality planning
  • Advanced scheduling skills with an ability to manipulate complex schedules using full functionality of a recognised tool such as MS Project
  • Knowledge of EVA
  • Knowledge of CMMi
  • Contract Management knowledge
  • Subcontractor Management experience
  • Understanding of the demands of the supplier/client relationship
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Experience of Line/Matrix Management of 20+ staff
  • Professional certification in Project Management and significant on-going training activities

Additional preferred skills as part of the role

  • Bid Management (although remember we're looking for hands on Senior Project Managers and not bid managers)
Your Current Work Experience
  • Working as a hands on senior project manager in a structured environment
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of £2M+ IT [software] projects to time and budget
  • Proven experience to turn-around situations where cost/quality issues require correction
  • Experience on start up of new accounts/operations
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and achieve deadline dates
  • Gained experience in more than one company
