Since the pilot of the APM Accredited PMO Practitioner course held in November 2017, our public courses have been so popular we even had to add additional dates throughout 2018.
Last week we visited the Open University in Milton Keynes for the first organisation specific course.
The APM Accredited PMO Practitioner course is designed to give delegates a course aligned to the APM Body of Knowledge (6th Edition) which is practical enough that they can take away both knowledge of the industry, and confidence in themselves to develop their PMO Maturity.
With an internal course; however, the course becomes a powerful catalyst for change.
It enables PMO practitioners to spend two days not only learning about the modules already included; but also, to take a step back, look at how their PMO is performing and identify opportunities for improvement and transformation.
When organising an internal course, our trainers spend time pre-event to understand your PMO journey, your challenges, successes, and key conversations so that the two days can be tailored to your reality.
This is what the first internal course delegates had to say:
Emma and Marisa have provided us with an extremely informative two days in support of our continuing interest in building our PMO capability. It was greatly appreciated that they took the time in advance of our course to seek information on how best to tailor the content to our specific context in order for us to gain the most value. Highly engaging, enjoyable and thought-provoking!
Rachel Troughton, Head of Portfolio Strategy & Information Office – The Open University
Really engaging training. It was an excellent start to my PMO journey. As a PMO novice. I felt like I could still engage effectively.
Heather Ralston, Portfolio Assistant – The Open University
For me it reinforced some of my learning and gave me lots of great ideas for building our PMO. It wasn’t too heavy in terms of content. The Trainers were very engaging and gave lots of context through their experiences.
